Finland Education Exploration

This study tour is designed to provide you with an in-depth understanding of the renowned Finnish education system, with a particular focus on school management. You will gain real insights into key aspects of education in Finland, guided by international education experts. We are currently accepting registrations for January 2024 and March 2024 programmes

This programme is designed for the decision-makers of School administration such as School Owners, Leadership staff, Principals, and experienced teachers who wish to adopt best practices in their schools.

Day 1

Arrival at Helsinki

Check in - Helsinki (6 PM)

Day 2

Helsinki

● Morning: Lecture at the National Agency for Education on Finnish Curriculum and

continuous research-based development of education.

● Lunch

● Afternoon: Guided city tour of Helsinki, with free time to explore.

● Evening: Welcome dinner at a local restaurant college, Perho college, prepared

and served by students.

Day 3

Helsinki

● Morning 9-12: Visit a primary school, Viherlaakson koulu

● Lunch at school

● Afternoon: Lecture on school management by Mr. Mikko Leppänen (Principal)

Day 4

Helsinki

● Morning: Observation at a kindergarten (Ahjon päiväkoti, Kerava)

● Lunch at kindergarten

● Afternoon: Meeting with the Head of Early Years Education in the City of Kerava, and with people at the municipal early years' education office.

● Transfer to Turku

Day 5

Turku

● Visit the University of Turku

● Sauna and winter swimming experience in the Turku Archipelago

● Gala Dinner (Certificate ceremony)

Day 6

Turku

● High school visit

● Lunch

● Visit Turku Medieval Castle

● Free time to explore Turku

Day 7

Turku

● Check out and Bus from Turku to Helsinki airport on 28th October
