Programme Overview
CLP is a six-week programme for business leaders and entrepreneurs, delivered through high-quality lectures, workshops, and seminars led by Cambridge academics, industry experts, and successful entrepreneurs. The aim is to equip every participant with leadership skills and access to an exceptional global network, helping them to achieve their professional goals.
Programme Structure
Module 1
Online - 3-7 March, 2025
In this first Module, participants will engage in a variety of learning activities designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of key topics. The module includes:

Webinars: Interactive online sessions that explore foundational concepts and emerging trends.

Virtual Workshops: Hands-on, practical workshops aimed at applying concepts to real-world scenarios.

Collaborative Activities: Group-based tasks that foster teamwork and peer learning, allowing participants to share insights and ideas.

Lectures by Cambridge Academics: Expert-led lectures offering deep insights from leading Cambridge academics, enriching participants’ knowledge and perspectives.
At the end of this module, participants will be assigned tasks and activities, which will be further developed and disseminated during their in-person sessions in Module 3 at Cambridge. This ensures continuity and deeper engagement with the learning process.
Assignments from 10 March - 4 April
Module 2
Module 2 is designed to focus on self-directed work and assignments introduced in Module 1. Participants will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics, both individually and in teams, allowing for reflection and application of their learning. Key components include:

Individual and Team Assignments: Participants will work on tasks independently as well as collaborate with peers to enhance their understanding and develop solutions.

Internal Group Discussions and Supervisions: Regular group discussions will provide a platform for peer feedback and guidance from supervisors, helping to refine ideas and approaches.

Weekly Observations: Participants will be encouraged to observe and reflect on key learnings, contributing to their overall growth.

Flexible Learning Pace: With the ability to prepare and work at their own pace, participants can manage their time and ensure thorough engagement with the material.
This module allows participants to consolidate their knowledge, preparing them for further dissemination and activities in the following module.
Module 3
In-person* 8-11 April, 2025
Module 3 offers an immersive, in-person experience in Cambridge, where participants will build on their previous work through dissemination activities and engage in a range of enriching academic and networking opportunities. Key highlights of the module include:

Lectures & Workshops: Participants will attend expert-led lectures and interactive workshops designed to deepen their understanding of key topics, offering hands-on experience and advanced insights from Cambridge academics.

Tour of Cambridge: A guided tour of the historic city and university will provide participants with a unique cultural and academic context, enhancing their overall learning experience.

Networking and Presentations: Participants will have the opportunity to network with industry experts, academics, and peers, fostering meaningful connections. In addition, they will present their dissemination work and findings from earlier modules, receiving feedback and engaging in discussions to refine their ideas.
This module serves as a capstone experience, allowing participants to apply their learning in a real-world setting while expanding their professional network.

Entrepreneurship
Strategy
Participants will develop the ability to generate innovative ideas, create and refine value propositions using the business model canvas, understand cap tables for equity distribution, and prepare for investor pitch. They will also learn to build and manage efficient, cohesive teams to support their business growth and operational success.
Participants will learn to develop effective business strategies in competitive environments, gaining insights into market positioning and long-term planning. They will also explore the importance of building strategic partnerships, learning how to identify, establish, and maintain collaborations that drive growth and provide competitive advantage in dynamic business landscapes.
Marketing
Participants will learn marketing strategies with a focus on frugal innovation, adapting to resource constraints while driving growth. They will explore disruptive innovation in marketing, effective use of social media and digital platforms, and the role of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) marketing in aligning business practices with sustainability and ethical standards.
Finance & Accounting
Participants will gain a foundational understanding of corporate finance tailored for founders, including key financial principles. They will also develop skills in financial modelling, enabling them to create projections, assess financial viability, and make informed decisions for their business's financial strategy and growth.
Soft skills
Participants will enhance their public speaking and communication skills, learning to confidently present and effectively sell their story. Additionally, they will gain insights into organisational behaviour, understanding team dynamics and how to foster a productive, collaborative work environment within their organisation.
